The Zydematics are Colorado's only truly authentic Zydeco and Cajun Band. Hugh Robertson,
their fearless leader has learned his chops from some of the greats of Louisiana Cajun and
Zydeco traditions, such as Bois Sec Ardoin, Dewey Balfa, Preston Frank, Keith Frank, Dexter
Ardoin and Canray Fontenot. Playing in a mix of both Cajun and Zydeco styles the Zydematics
get the crowd up and jumping from the first note.

Hugh and his crew have been playing along the
Front Range for almost fifteen years under various
names: Colorado Cajun Dance Band (CCDB), Bayou Teche, the Zydeco Honkies etc. pulling people
to their feet and getting them dancing. He and his bands have opened for everyone from Beausoeil,
Chubby Carrier, Buckwheat Zydeco and Queen Ida in various venues such as the Boulder Theater,
Herman's Hideaway, Mercury Cafe, and the Ogden Theater to name a few. For many years CCDB was
the house band for the dances held by the Colorado Friends of Cajun/Zydeco. Hugh and Linda have
taught both Cajun and Zydeco dancing to many people along the Front Range.
